Varanasi is an important city for Hindus, Buddhists and Jains. Beautiful poems and epics have been written in Varanasi. For instance, Tulidas's famous poem, Ramcharitmanas was written in Varanasi. Kabir and Ramdas have also made significant contributions to poetry most of which they have written in Varanasi. During the Mughal rule, Varanasi underwent a major revival. Looking for something to buy in Varanasi, indulge in some silk garments and hand-woven carpets. Varanasi is, in particular, known for its many Ghats: Dashashwamedh Ghat and Manikarnika Ghat. Varanasi is also known for the classical music played here. Varanasi is famous for its fast food stalls. Ayodhya is the birthplace of Rama and the setting for the epic Ramayana. Ayodhya is a very important pilgrimage site for the Hindus. You can reach Ayodhya by train as there is the Ayodhya Railway Station. Some festivals you must partake in are Ramnavmi (birth anniversary of Lord Ram), Shravan Jhula Mela, Parikrama Fair, Bharat Kund Mela, Rathyatra, Balark Tirth Mela. Something you need to pick up from the local cuisine of Lucknow are puris and kachoris. Ayodhya has a beautiful collection of temples. A list of famous temples is given: Darbarji Ji Durga Kali Temple, Shri Rama Janaki Birla Temple, Kala Ramji ka Mandir and Rishabhdeo Jain Temple.

Day 01: Arrival + Witness a vibrant display of devotion at The Ganga Arati

Upon arrival at Varanasi Airport/Railway Station, our representative will meet you and transfer to your hotel.

After arriving in Varanasi, head towards your hotel and relax and freshen up there for a while. As evening descends, visit Varanasi’s magnificent ghats – the riverside to witness an elaborate ritual of worshipping the river Ganga. Priests stand on a platform to move lamps in synchronization to offer prayers to the Ganges river every sunset in Varanasi. After witnessing the arati as a part of your Varanasi- Bodhgaya tour, have some dinner and head back to your hotel.

Day 02: Varanasi Chitrakoot

Visit Lord Rama and Sita’s stay during the exile period.

After breakfast drive to Chitrakoot where Lord Rama, Lakshman, and Sita spent eleven and a half years of their fourteen years of exile at this place. Here you will visit Ramghat, Bharat Milap, Kamadgiri, Janaki Kund, Sati anusayia, Hanuman Dhara, etc. Later, for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Chitrakoot Varanasi

Check- out from the hotel in Chitrakoot and proceed towards Varanasi. Check-in at the Varanasi hotel. Proceed for a day of sightseeing. Visit the famous red coloured Durga temple, a religious site with a small artificial lake where devotees offer prayers. Proceed from there to the nearby located Tulsi Manas Mandir. This marbled temple is one of the gorgeous ones in the city and is devoted to Lord Rama, Hanuman, Sita and Lakshman. You can relax or meditate in the temple’s huge garden or witness a show depicting the Ramayana. Thereafter, head to the Sankat Mochan Hanuman temple and the highly revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Be sure to participate in the rituals and explore the ancient architecture of both these temples. In the end, go to the Bharat Mata Mandir and witness a life-sized map of India being worshipped by patriots. Enjoy some street snacks in the evening and have a traditional dinner before heading back to your hotel.

Day 04: Deaprture

Post a wholesome breakfast, you will be taken to the airport or the railway station on the last day of Varanasi Chitrakoot Tour Package. You will begin another journey as you go from Varanasi back home. You'll make beautiful memories to mull over all throughout the journey.
