Day 01: Arrival + Witness a vibrant display of devotion at The Ganga Arati

After arriving in Varanasi, head towards your hotel and relax and freshen up there for a while. As evening descends, visit Varanasi’s magnificent ghats – the riverside to witness an elaborate ritual of worshipping the river Ganga. Priests stand on a platform to move lamps in synchronization to offer prayers to the Ganges river every sunset in Varanasi. After witnessing the arati as a part of your Varanasi- Bodhgaya tour, have some dinner and head back to your hotel.

Day 02: Varanasi Bodhgaya

Bodhgaya Sightseeing

After eating a fulfilling breakfast in Varanasi, check out from your hotel and head to Bodhgaya – an Ancient city located in Bihar. Bodhgaya is a crucial point in Buddhist history, since Gautam Buddha attained enlightenment here. Take a casual stroll around the town before heading towards the Great Buddha Statue – an 80 feet tall sculpture of Gautam Buddha in meditation. From there, head to the Niranjana River and the Sujata Temple, both of which are important Buddhist and Hindu pilgrimage sites. After you have explored the river’s banks, follow your tour guide to the Maha Bodhi Temple and the Bodhi Tree – the exact spot where Buddha attained unsurpassed enlightenment. Thereafter, visit the Chinese temple to witness a confluence of cultures and conclude your day with a mouthwatering local dinner. Stay overnight at Bodhgaya and utilize your time to venture around the city or lounge in the hotel.

Day 03: Bodhgaya Varanasi

After your arrival back in Varanasi from Bodhgaya, eat breakfast at the hotel Lumbini and check out from there for a day of sightseeing. Visit the famous red coloured Durga temple, a religious site with a small artificial lake where devotees offer prayers. Proceed from there to the nearby located Tulsi Manas Mandir. This marbled temple is one of the gorgeous ones in the city and is devoted to Lord Rama, Hanuman, Sita and Lakshman. You can relax or meditate in the temple’s huge garden or witness a show depicting the Ramayana. Thereafter, head to the Sankat Mochan Hanuman temple and the highly revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Be sure to participate in the rituals and explore the ancient architecture of both these temples. In the end, go to the Bharat Mata Mandir and witness a life-sized map of India being worshipped by patriots. Enjoy some street snacks in the evening and have a traditional dinner before heading back to your hotel.

Day 04: Deaprture

Have breakfast at the hotel and check out to hop on your vehicle and head towards the Varanasi Railway Station or the Airport. Depart from the city.
